Stop outsourcing Medical Coding and Billing

Mr. President, Congress and Senators,

We have supported your effort to “Make America Great Again” and feel our cause needs to be addressed.

With technology the opportunity for Mom’s and single parents to work from home opened doors in healthcare which was not there in years past. Medical Coding has become a growing industry allowing mom’s and single parents the opportunity to work from home and make a decent salary and still be available for their families where there was no opportunity before. Although there is education involved, Medical Coding does not require college degree and for less cost than a college education certification can be achieved.

Now, the same technology that gave us this amazing job opportunity is forcing these same families out of work because third party Medical Coding/Billing companies are outsourcing our jobs to foreign countries. Countries like India and the Phillipines where they are paid pennies on the dollar. The same Americans who had a great career opportunity, paying taxes and supporting their families are now losing their jobs overseas.

The average billing/coding salary is $22,000-$36,000 annually.

Not only causing loss of jobs but now we are farming every American’s personal information to impoverished countries, giving them full access to PHI (Personal Health Information), is this not a HIPPA violation?

Please stop these companies from outsourcing our jobs to foreign countries.
