Stop the Balfour Parkway
The Balfour Parkway is a $154 million dollar project that is not needed and will destroy homes, churches and communities. We, the citizens, urge our leaders to act now to stop the proposed Balfour Parkway NCDOT STIP Project No. R-5744!
Why is this important?
The Balfour Parkway will cost taxpayers $154 million dollars and result in 220-440 homes being destroyed or negatively impacted by a five mile expressway that will wind its way through existing subdivisions, apple farms, and neighborhoods. It is not needed to facilitate traffic, it will not eliminate traffic issues on Four Seasons Boulevard and it will destroy the small town feel of Henderson County forever and should not be allowed to proceed!
