Petition Summary: The Homeowners of Elmore County have been taxed by WECRD for over 15 years. We would like to see this taxing district dissolved. The Community of Mountain Home voted for a pool and an arena where the community could enjoy various functions and events. When will we see a date for a ground breaking ceremony?
Why is this important?
Mountain Home has the potential to offer extensive recreation that promotes healthy living, keeps kids off the street, and encourages community togetherness with the money that has been collected over the years. Waiting longer could only mean there will be more money wasted on salaries, surveys, outrageously priced office supplies, and more. We have a chance to change lives of many by dissolving this Recreation District now and allotting the money to the "public recreation purposes within the County."
