We the undersigned petition the Congress of the United States of America [to mandate a halt to the selling off of the infrastructure of our nation], before we all become as slaves to foreign investors; as whom we have already sold our manufacturing base to.

According to Jerry Knight , A business Columnist for the Washington Post (article dated Monday March 20, 2006 titled Infrastructure: A Road to Riches?)The Chicago Skyway was sold to "a pair of Spanish and Australian companies" ("Cintra SA and Maquarie Infrastructure Group")and "Goldmann Sachs & Co, made $9 million advising Chicago on the sale."
