Stop the war on women. Denying access to women for birth control will result in increased cost for tax payers unwanted, unaffordable children born to families that cannot feed, clothe or provide medical care for them. Birth control is a responsible, affordable means to keeping our state budget for medicaid, social services and welfare under control.
Why is this important?
Insurance coverage for birth control is on the table in the legislature presented and based upon Rep. Carlos Bilbao's religious beliefs. Making birth control unaffordable, or unavailable to women will result in unwanted pregnancies, unwanted births, increased cost for children's health care services paid for by the tax payers of this state.
