Stop Violence Against Women and Girls

The World Health Organization estimates that 1 in 3 women worldwide will experience sexual or physical violence in her lifetime. The United States has a moral responsibility to pass legislation to help stop rape, acid attacks, dowry deaths, so-called "honor" killings, and other forms of gender-based violence.

Why is this important?

Rape, acid attacks, dowry deaths, so-called "honor" killings, and other forms of gender-based violence will affect an estimated 1 in 3 women worldwide, according to the World Health Organization. Congress can and must act now to make the world a safer place for women and girls.
