Take Action: Advocate for Syrian Refugee Family Resettlement

The scale of the Syrian conflict is monumental. It is now one of the largest refugee exoduses in recent history. There are more than 3 million refugees. Over half of them are children under 17.

As a person of faith, I write to urge you to protect all vulnerable people seeking safety, particularly those fleeing persecution in Syria who are especially at risk. Our faith calls us to care for those in need. As a nation that has proudly stood as a beacon of hope for those in need, we are defined by our commitment to compassion for the vulnerable and justice for all. We ask that you stand with people of faith in welcoming Syrian refugees into the United States. Thank you.

Why is this important?

While neighboring countries in the Middle East and The EU have reluctantly taken in refugees, they often find themselves in either inhumane conditions or stuck in the bureaucratic web of Europe's immigration debate . No one is better equipped to assist the Syrian people more than The United States of America. Our nation has a singular tradition of support and opportunity for all those seeking a better life, be it temporary or permanent. We have the heart, and we have the resources. Our nation's citizens are good people and will help in every way we can. Our country has proven it's heart time and time again, and now at this most crucial moment we should answer the call once more.
