States should have the authority to protect residents and the environment from the risks of exposure to toxic chemicals used by manufacturers, importers, and chemical processors. The Federal regulations aren’t enough to protect our families from toxic chemicals.
Why is this important?
Every family deserves to know what’s in our food, our children’s toys and other consumer products. And here in Oregon, we consistently lead the nation with health-conscious consumer protection laws.
That’s why I support Oregon’s ability to regulate toxic chemicals – but a proposal in Congress could prevent Oregon from fulfilling our responsibility to protect public health.
Take action: tell Congress to allow Oregon to regulate toxic chemicals!
Oregonians should be allowed to protect our environment and our families from exposure to chemicals used by manufacturers, importers, and chemical processors.
Please join me and add your name today – allow Oregon to defend against toxic chemicals!
