Let us live up to what is states on the Statue of Liberty. My grandparents, on both sides, came to the USA at the turn of the 20th century. We are Jewish. They lived on the border of Russia. They came here to escape the Pogams and to have a better life. We are a nation of immigrants. Founded by Pilgrims, who came here for religious freedom. Let us not forget our heritage and reason for existence!
Why is this important?
Because freedom from persecution and wars is the basis of our nation.
