TBB Street Naming
Bronx's Historic Hip-Hop Dance Crew; The Bronx Boys Rocking Crew established 1975 are pioneers of the Rocking/Breakdance Culture. We are seeking to have the street of their origin, Mohegan Street and Southern Boulevard, named TBB Rocking Crew Way.
Why is this important?
As a filmmaker, I became aware of the huge impact that the crew had on floor rocking when TT Boy fell and inspired the rest of the tagging crew (at that time) to hit the floor in addition to top rocking which was catching on in the urban Bronx Dance Culture at the time. They are a very instrumental part of what we now know as Hip-Hop.
