Require a full semester of Civics for every student in the nation, to graduate from high school, whether public, private or homeschool. Require that every student pass a Civics test to graduate from high school.
Why is this important?
Ignorance of the workings of government and the Constitution puts our future and our democracy in question. If we are to educate our students to become good citizens they must have a knowledge of Civics. Without it we proceed at our own peril.
