Tell Netflix: All Employees Deserve Unlimited Parental Leave
Everyone deserves a chance to earn their way and take care of their families -- and that goes double for low-wage workers who are being squeezed in this economy. Netflix, correct this problem and extend your unlimited parental leave policy to all workers.
Why is this important?
Netflix's new unlimited parental leave policy is a bold proposal for working families -- but the online streaming giant is still earning a one-star rating from us. Why is that? Because Netflix won’t extend these benefits to workers in their lower-wage DVD division.
That means Netflix is essentially creating two classes of employees — high-wage workers who can afford to take care of their families, and low-wage workers who aren’t worthy of these crucial benefits. I don’t know about you, but I think that’s just plain wrong.
