To: Andrew Wheeler, Acting EPA Administrator

Tell the EPA: Don't Repeal the Clean Water Rule!

I strongly oppose weakening the Clean Water Rule, and I urge you to reconsider the EPA’s position and drop this second attempt to repeal and replace this critical protection. Gutting these safeguards will put the drinking water sources for more than 117 million of us at risk and endanger 110 million acres of wetlands.

Why is this important?

Even without Scott Pruitt heading up the EPA, the Trump administration is moving full steam ahead with its plan to repeal the Clean Water Rule, one of our best protections for the streams and waterways that provide drinking water for nearly a third of all Americans. And with industry insider Andrew Wheeler leading the agency for now, we have an uphill battle. But if enough of us speak up now during a new 30-day comment period that ends on August 13, we can show Wheeler that he's way out of line.
