Tennessee dangerously threatens health privacy
Stop the Life Defense Act of 2012, or House Bill 3808.
HB 3808 appears to have no legitimate purpose other than to intimidate and threaten. It flies in the face of health privacy laws that have been painstakingly developed as much-needed protections.
Passage of this bill could seriously endanger doctors and patients, and could set dangerous precedents undermining all health privacy laws.
Thank you for helping to keep everyone in Tennessee safe, and for protecting everyone's privacy.

Why is this important?
The Tennessean, Mar. 19, 2012:
"Doctors who perform abortions in Tennessee could see their names listed online, and women who undergo the procedures could be unintentionally identified under a bill pending in the state legislature."
The Life Defense Act of 2012, or House Bill 3808, flies in the face of every health privacy law that exists. It has no purpose other than to intimidate and threaten. Doctors and patients could be exposed to serious threats or danger. This bill must be stopped.
