Hundred's of billions of dollars go into supporting the military at bases in 150 countries and at sea. There has never been a real debate about the need for these expenditures. When is enough enough? We respectfully ask for a full and open
discussion about the Defense budget and ways to streamline it so it only truely meets American security needs. This should include an open discussion of how much money goes into military operations for protection of America's economic interests including corporate profits.
Why is this important?
The U.S. has an inflated military budget that grows regularly without adequate debate. This budget supports more than 180 bases in about 150 countries.
