Congress, as the people's voice, must respond to the Intelligence Committee's report. Leave no vague or blurred understanding of what America thinks and feels about the use of torture to extort our way into a Middle East War victory: we didn't claim victory because we tried to torture the enemy for victory. It was a disgrace and the report is the only redemption.
Why is this important?
I am from the Pacific Northwest where we suffered the loss of the 25th infantry division on Guadalcanal. We fight but God damn it: we fight with honor or we go home.
