The appointment of Mike Pompeo to Secretary of State threatens transgender lives. His record of being anti-LGBT is massive and now has the power to restrict and/or endanger the lives of transgender people all across the country.
Why is this important?
Secretary of State Pompeo has demonstrated his hate toward Transgender - Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual people. Pompeo now has the power to restrict the gender markers on passports of transgender people in the United States, reversing years of advocacy for the policy of acceptance of transgender people from the United States Department of State. We are demanding his immediate removal from the United States Government.
