Dear Holy Father,
I began a ministry dedicated to spreading devotion to St.Gianna Molla, a mother who sacrificed her life for her unborn child. In the midst of this ministry, I have encountered countless women who have lost children to miscarriage and stillbirth. I then had three of my own losses. There is nothing more devastating to Catholic families than a theology that states that these precious souls may be in limbo. The torment of not knowing is a destroyer of hope. I encountered the story of an incorrupt Catholic newborn whose body after 37 years buried showed no signs of decay. The baby was born and loved for only 40 minutes . The parents desired baptism and asked for a Catholic Chaplin but no certificates ever issued and the parents were unsure if it even occurred. They are calling this baby a pilgrim of hope. His story is at
www.babybrian.org.
I believe this little one has inspired hope in me that my little Faustina Teresa, named in honor of two great saints devoted to spreading Jesus’ love and mercy, is back with her true Father in heaven. As a mother, I do not feel God would create a soul to not bring all His beloved back to Him.
I am writing you this petition to implore Holy Mother Church to develop a Theology of the Holy Innocents in light of baby Brian’s beautiful story and God’s miracle for this child and his family.
The grief of losing a child is a hard cross to carry and one in four pregnancies end in infant loss and many families experience this Cross. I beg the Church to take up study on the Theology of Holy Innocents in light of the Gospel of Life!
Thank you Holy Father. We are so happy to have you as our Shepherd and pray the Holy Spirit be upon you in your Petrine Ministry.
In His Most Sacred Heart,
