Tim Cook and Apple, don't purchase Beats Music and Beats Entertainment
Don't make these persons of violence rich ($3 billion) and reward them for violence, or we will boycott Apple.
Why is this important?
Call on Apple Inc. to cancel the purchase of Beats Music and Beats Electronics. If they do not, all moral people should consider boycotting Apple. A major owner and co-founder of Beats Music and Beats Electronics, Andre Romelle Young (a.k.a. "Dr Dre") has allegedly practiced and promoted violence, particularly against woman. Two or more women have accused Andre Young of severely beating them. "Dr Dre's" former girlfriend, Michel'le Toussant (a.k.a. Michel'le) said that "Dr Dre" broke her nose, and repeatedly blackened her eyes. Speaking of "Dr Dre", Michel'le said "I did five videos and we had to cover three black eyes. It seemed like the day before a video, I would get a black eye and we had to cover it." "Dr Dre" is the father of Michel'le's son, Marcel.
Denise "Dee" Barnes, is a performer whose stage name was "D Zire". According to Rolling Stone reporter Alan Light, on January 27, 1991, "Dr Dre" encountered Barnes at a record release party in Hollywood, and "He ["Dr Dre"] picked her up by her hair and began slamming her head and the right side of her body repeatedly against a brick wall near the stairway as his bodyguard held off the crowd with a gun. After Dre tried to throw her down the stairs and failed, he began kicking her in the ribs and hands. She escaped and ran into the women's rest room. Dre followed her and grabbed her from behind by the hair again and proceeded to punch her in the back of the head."
Another major owner and co-founder of Beats is Jimmy Iovine. Jimmy Iovine and “Dr Dre” have each produced many rap artists whose lyrics are violent. Here are parts of just one song from “Dr Dre”: “Who is the man with the masterplan? A Nigga Witta motherf*cking Gun! See I never take a step on a Compton block or LA without the AK ready to pop. And for a youth to survive a nigga gotta be a gangster. And I'm a nigga you can't remove. Took out a lot of motherf*uckers for tryin' to prove to their homies they can hang by dealin' with me. But once again in the end they D-E-A-D. I never did time on a murder yet. If you see me on the solo moves believe that I'm strapped .44, .38 or AK 47. You want a stairway to heaven? Just put my finger on the trigger and pull back and lay a punk motherfucker flat.”
Is this what Apple wants to support? Is this what Apple wants to promote? By paying these men approximately $3 billion? If this is what Apple wants, please do not support Apple in any way. Call on Apple to cancel the purchase of Beats Music and Beats Electronics.
