To change the SHS dress code!

They're deemed as inappropriate and too revealing–how many stories have we heard about girls being sent home from school because of their “inappropriate outfit”? The truth is, you don't have to bare it all to rock this piece! Crop tops can totally be professional and appropriate. It all depends on how you style them. Girls who decide what to wear for themselves have the right. However others may think it’s “inappropriate”or to “revealing.” A girl or guy is responsible for what they do and how they wear their clothing items. Crop tops and headbands are not acceptable for school? However Teachers allow students to wear ripped jeans and shorts? In my opinion ripped jeans and shorts show way more then a crop top! When wearing a crop top, make sure your bottoms are high waisted and hit you just above your belly button. That way you're only showing a little sliver of midriff. (It’s a belly button, why is it so inappropriate, everyone has one!) Some may say that only specific body’s are meant for them! I disagree, in fact wearing a crop top makes it more likely that you will build your confidence and become more successful because of the new positive attitude you have towards yourself! Most of the time when people get dress coded it’s by teachers! Shoulders are another main reason people get dress coded in school. Showing your bra for fun and getting dress coded is understandable. If you wear a tank top because it’s hot outside is a different story! Teachers shouldn’t have a say in what we wear on a daily basis. If our parents are fine with it then so should they!
