Our country is in the worst the crisis of governance since the American Civil War. The executive and legislative branches of Federal Government have become absolutely dysfunctional. We face an uncertain future with a President who is delusional and unfit to serve this high office. He seeks to dramatically change the direction of our judicial system and our Supreme Court with the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh. Not since the nomination of Justice Clarence Thomas have we seen a Senate nomination proceeding so rancorous and partisan- and remember how that turned out. This divisiveness can end by each of you showing the courage to resist Trump on this nomination and begin healing our nation with a showing of true bipartisanship. It is time to say no to Trump and his ego; it is time to stand up for the principal of "Stare Decisis" that has been the been the rock upon which our Supreme Court has ruled and protected precedent of previous decisions and the law of the land.
