2022 has suffered many extreme weather, more frequent tornadoes, storms and abnormal heatwave across the world 🌎. In particular, North Atlantic and Arctic blast 💥 have brought more storms and abnormal cold temperature early autumn 2022.
Tropic of Cancer & Arctic region is very fragile area, because it’s covered with desert of ice with only 10 % annual precipitation. Moreover, earth revolution ☀️🌎, the sun light rays and wave length are longer in the northern hemisphere which also means that this region receives less light, more darkness in the winter. Each ocean varies in temperature, salinity and light intensity.
Since 1982, scientists have gathered data on ocean temperature Arctic desert, record shows that from 1982 - 2010 temperature rose 5 degrees Celsius in Arctic . In 2016, the warming of the Pacific Ocean 🌊from El Niño, has not cool down. In addition, the Alguras current spill from the Indian Ocean brings warm current to the South Atlantic and Gulf Stream.
Why the Atlantic Ocean is at risk?
The conveyor belt ( see image above)is interconnected forming the world/ global ocean that transport energy (current) in the form of heat.
Tropic of Cancer, North Atlantic and Arctic region is warming up at about twice the rate as the rest of the planet 🌎.
Cycle of El Niño and La Niña affect the jet stream ( wind of change). A disruption in the flow causes delays and affect marine communities and bird 🦅 migration.
