OakDOT promised us a collaborative process to find solutions for parking on the narrow streets of our neighborhood. But OakDOT leaders have failed to respond to numerous questions and requests to meet. OakDOT failed to get input from the main stakeholders including homeowners, Crocker Highlands School, and Lakeshore Homes Association. When asked to work with our disabled neighbors, OakDOT was unwilling to talk. Instead of promised meetings, city workers showed up and started installing No Parking signs.
OakDOT's top-down plan to eliminate half of the parking and make the street one-way without getting stakeholder input will impact the whole community. I am requesting that you ensure that OakDOT collaborates with us and our neighborhood association. Please stop this project until collaboration occurs.
