The conflict with North Korea threatens a nuclear war that could produce a decade of nuclear winter -- cold, no food, millions dead. To prevent this needless tragedy the U.S. which introduced nuclear weapons must bring them to an end by signing the treaty that bans them. As others follow our lead, all of us and our offspring can continue to enjoy life on this planet.
Why is this important?
The human race has lived too long with the danger of nuclear war and the worldwide presence of harmful radiation. If we don't bring an end to nuclear weapons, their use, whether on purpose or accidentally, will destroy us.
