Verizon: Provide cell phones to elders without landlines

Provide free mobile phones for victims of Hurricane Sandy until landlines are restored. They don't have to be fancy; just functional.

Why is this important?

I'm in the East Village. The December 4th date to restore landlines to those of us whose phones were knocked out by Hurricane Sandy has been moved to December 21st. I'm still reachable, because I have Verizon Wireless service. Many elders (and others) do NOT have mobile phones.
