Virginia Barbershops and Beauty Salons Soft Opening
Please allow ONE licensed beauty professional to perform a beauty service privately with ONE client in the salon at a time as of Monday, May 4, 2020. All necessary precautions and sanitation protocols approved by the state of Virginia and the local Board of Health will be followed.
Servicing one client at a time (while wearing a mask & gloves) poses little to no risk of spreading the virus, as compared to 20 or more people in a grocery store or 10 plus people at restaurants picking up food, Convenient Stores, hardware stores, liquor stores and etc...

Why is this important?
The survival of the independent beauty professionals in the State of Virginia is truly at risk at this time. They are facing a grave financial hardship as these Professionals do not get paid when they do not work. Independent Beauty Professionals rely on the income from their clients. Services that these professionals do cannot begin done online. While the “Beauty industry” is deemed “Non essential”, the ability to practice their craft is very ESSENTIAL to their livelihood.
