Walworth County Family Court - Remove Kristine Drettwan

Kristine Drettwan was appointed as Walworth County Court Commissioner in 2010 by other Walworth County Judges. There is no election process for this position and the people of Walworth County have no voice. Kristine Drettwan is now being recommended by Judge Race to replace him as Family Court Judge when he retires. Kristine Drettwan has repeatedly failed to fulfill her role as an unbiased Family Court Commissioner and has no regard for the best interest of the children in the families that come before her. This Commissioner has repeatedly made rulings without thoroughly hearing a case or looking at the clear evidence that was being presented. Kristine Drettwan has ruled that the current pay stubs from unemployment benefits do not prove unemployment income and refused to reduce the amount of child support forcing a father to live on only one half of his unemployment the other half going to a mother that has an income of $16 + an hour and who is remarried and has a second income that is also in that range. This father lives in poverty and the court commissioner in Walworth County refuses to act. Kristine Drettwan has repeatedly failed to look at evidence in cases and in at least one case has allowed the mother of two children to repeatedly and intentionally fail to comply with court rulings. This mother has interfered with the placement of her children with their father, intentionally interfered with custody rights of the father of these children, moved repeatedly with the children without providing the father with the location of the children, failed to provide the children with the recommended and needed mental health care after multiple professionals have recommended that the behavioral problems at school and the legal trouble the children are in requires such care. These children have repeatedly been in trouble in school, are failing a majority of their classes, have been expelled and suspended and have legal issues after starting fires, theft, obstructing and officer, vandalism charges. This mother has refused to act and intervene and yet Kristine Drettwan continues to rule in her favor clearly not in the best interest of the children involved. These issues are all WELL documented and evidence is available however, Kristine Drettwan has after multiple court appearances refused to even look at the evidence available ruling repeatedly in favor of the mother of these children without regard for their best interest. Kristine Drettwan has further allowed cases to be heard without regard for the required notice to the other party and has ruled that this father, living in poverty should now pay this mother's legal fees, and transportation costs. Kristine Drettwan is unconcerned with the best interest of children in Walworth County, the laws of the State of Wisconsin regarding placement and custody and should be removed from the position she holds not promoted to Walworth County Family Court Judge to continue her bias and unfair practices in that court.
