We Demand the Resignation of John Parker & Lisa King
We call on Jacksonville Democratic officials Mr. John Parker and Ms. Lisa King to immediately resign due to multiple accusations of racist comments by Mr. Parker and the lack of leadership of Ms. King that has squandered the trust of Democrats and the public.
Why is this important?
Recently, Florida DNC Delegate and Jacksonville Democratic Party State Committeeman Mr. John Parker has been accused by multiple Democrats of making racist statements about the black community on a number of occasions [1-2].
Additionally, the Democratic Black Caucus of Florida President Lydia Hudson has called for him to step down over his alarming comments and past behavior.
Furthermore, Jacksonville Democratic Party Chair Lisa King's lack of response and leadership concerning the allegations of her husband Mr. John Parker has done nothing but "squandered the public trust" and trust of the majority of Duval Democrats as one media outlet explained [3].
Finally, we call on Ms. King and Mr. Parker to immediately resign their positions in the Duval and Florida Democratic Party so our party can begin to move forward with the hard work in properly representing the the black community in Jacksonville which comprises 55% of the the local Democratic Party.
