Why do we ALL wait until an event happening somewhere in the world reaches terrible proportions before something is done? What if the world knew that if atrocities occurred such as what is now happening in Syria that the UN's soldiers would jump in to stop it, perhaps it would never start. And not just to people. What if a group of UN soldiers were to drop in to stop the slaughter of elephants such as is now happening. Why do we have to wait until Syria is another Bosnia? Why do we have to wait until most of the elephants in an area are all slaughtered? If the UN needs better funding then we...ALL of the world...need to step up and fund it now! Stop playing politics as usual and get this done now!
Why is this important?
The United Nations was created to be the world's police force but instead the United STATES and a few other countries are the ones who step up. Why is that?
