Salt Lake City Seeks Prosecution of Man Attacked by Skin-heads
My e-signature is to take a stand against all forms of discrimination in the case of SALT LAKE CITY V. E AL KALASHNIKOV, pleading innocent.
Whereas, Salt Lake City seeks to prosecute a disabled middle-aged (African-American) Army veteran, falsely accused of having assaulted two attackers, from a racist organization, it's an act that undermines our system of jurisprudence and American rule of law.
These attackers posed as a victim and witness after conspiring against the accused in a public library's restroom, they claimed the veteran hit one of the two with an umbrella- taken in as evidence pending a trial, which defendant denies. A team of security then tackled him and nearly broke his right arm without proof. Bystanders only heard yelling.
Furthermore, I disagree with the assault charges leveled by City prosecutors, who are pressing charges on him- instead of accusers. I support a full exoneration of Kalashnikov, that also lifts his trespass ban from the SLC Main city library, for pointing out they hadn't any employees of African descent there and it's perhaps why he was refused medical treatment locally subsequent to both attacks on him.
Any charges or infractions associated with this incident against Kalashnikov, SHOULD be forever dismissed.

Why is this important?
For Salt Lake City to support hate crime and back its perpetrators, it demonstrates that this city still has a long way to go to achieve true racial equality. To support hate crime perpetrators sets bad a precedent anywhere, as we need racial unity, not division, following an increase of high-profile (black-on-white) officer involved shootings that killed Michael Brown in Missouri and Darien Hunt in Utah.
