In today's economy there are record number of families facing economic hardships due to unemployment. Many of these families are forced to apply for POWER and SNAP benefits to support their families. To imply that these people are abusing drugs or alcohol is an added insult and burden to their already unbearable condition. When you can't afford food for your family, you can't afford drugs or alcohol.
