Before the United States engages in further military action, I want you to answer my question: Why is ISIL, or any other Middle East group, a threat to US citizens or to our homeland?
Why is this important?
I understand the economic reasons we are involved int the Middle East, oil and the hugely profitable arms industry, but protecting the homeland from terrorist attacks or invasion seems a stretch. Our domestic security agencies are among the best in the world, and have always done an excellent job of preventing attack here. But invasion? We are separated by two oceans, and they don't even have rowboats.
