Where is our NYC MTA WIFI?

It has been 11 years of relentless reminders since 911 that we are not safe, that we must say something if we see something, that we need more cameras, more recording of public space, more invasion of our privacy, more curtailing of our rights- all in the name of The Terror Machine.
WHY are the majority of underground subway stations in NEW YORK CITY still without WIFI?
WHY are we muzzled underground when we all have trackable phones and are relentlessly reminded to never forget we are in danger, to ever remain alert, to remember we are subject to searches, etc etc etc.
WHY, in addition to the terrible service by the MTA- and nearly
DISPOSED OF weekend schedules of trains- are we utterly
ABANDONED in regards to communication with the outside world while trapped -and hopefully never trapped in any of the dire scenarios constantly placed before us - waiting for the next train to arrive in these generally oppressive & filthy public transport corrals.

Why is this important?

Public right to communication.
