Surviving spouses should not be denied the funds that the deceased spouses have earned for them. Make it illegal to discriminate against surviving spouses simply because of age.
Why is this important?
Surviving spouses, especially widows, have been denied funds accumulated by their spouses during their working lives simply because they were too young. According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, a widow is, "a woman who has lost her husband to death and has not married again." Disabled widows are especially at a disadvantage because they no longer have the funds to make ends meet.
