Hundreds of thousands of employees will be adversely impacted as a result of sequestration. We propose that Congress also share in the pain of sequestration, as they too are on the Federal payroll. A 20% pay cut for Congress until Sequestration is resolved.
Why is this important?
Hundreds of thousands of hard working Americans will see significant pay cuts as a result of Sequestration. Since Congress can't solve the problem, and because they too are on the Federal payroll, we propose a Congressional 20% pay reduction until Sequestration is resolved. Congress can either show solidarity with those negatively impacted by promoting this idea, or in opposing it, engender the ill will of their constituents.
