Allow convicted felons the opportunity to get a job to support themselves by implementing one or all of these laws. By either not having to disclose the felony on job applications if felony is an excess of 2-3 years old provided the felon has remained out of the system. Allowing them to expunge their record after a guilty plea (in the state of NC they cannot if felon plead guilty.) Provided they have not been in trouble for 2 to 3 years. Create tax breaks for employers who hire felons.
Why is this important?
My petition is to offer a 2nd chance for convicted felons, to afford them an opportuity to support themselves without having to return to a life of crime, in order to take care of themselves and their families.
