The 340B Medication Program shall be made available to all 340B eligible patients AND to all primary care physicians to increase cost-effective prescribing. There should be NO PROFITEERING allowed in prescribing 340B meds dispensed in community pharmacies. All patients making less than 400% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) shall qualify for 340B pricing. As with the current program, there shall be full support by PHARMA for implementation that will save billions of dollars in drug costs for those unable to afford medications otherwise.
Why is this important?
Everyone has been affected by the outrageous cost of prescription medications, including even generic medicines. It is very important to increase the cost-effectiveness of prescription writing in the USA while maintaining very high-quality access. This petition will support that goal.
