Don't Deport Jesus
Jesus Guevara was born on Christmas and came to the U.S. 23 years ago to bring his parents out of poverty in Mexico.
Since then, he has dedicated his life in this country to sustaining Florida's agriculture industry and raising a beautiful family of 5 children with his wife in the home that he owns in Lakeland, FL. Four of his children are U.S. citizens.
After being placed on an ICE hold during a wrongful arrest by the Sheriff's office in 2007, who mistook him for someone of a different last name born 2 years earlier, held him in custody without a warrant and forced him to strip in search of tattoos he's never had, Jesus has been fighting a deportation for a few years. Now, he is expected to turn himself in to be deported this Tuesday, May 7th.
On Tuesday, during Jesus' court hearing, his lawyer will file an application requesting ICE another extension to his Stay of Removal. ICE Director in Miami, Marc Moore, will be taking the final decision on Jesus’ case.
Senator Marco Rubio has already promised to help advocate for him. If Jesus gets to stay with his family, he will be eligible for the Immigration Reform proposal Sen. Rubio drafted himself with the Gang of 8 Senators.

Jesus would be eligible for Rubio's bill in congress if passed into law. Will Senator Rubio intervene to help this beneficiary of Senate bill 744 before its too late?"
Marc Moore, ICE Field Office Director: (954) 236-4900
"Jesus Guevara of Lakeland is scheduled to turn himself for deportation this Tuesday. His lawyer will file an application for an extension of his Stay of Removal. Jesus is a low-priority case, father of 4 U.S. citizens and would be eligible for immigration reform if passed into law. Please approve his Stay of Removal.”
