9/11 First Responders
On September 30, 2015, a bill that gave care to 9/11 first responders ended. Tell Congress to re-sign the bill to support ongoing care for first reponders. Many first responders died. These heroic people were first to arrive to help the victims of 9/11. They are entitled to health care for resulting illnesses from 9/11.
Why is this important?
People who responded to 9/11 have suffered since then with major illnesses including cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, post-traumatic stress disorder, and more. These heroes are entitled to care.
On September 30, the bill to care and provide health care for these heroic people ran out. Please tell your Congresspeople to resign the bill. It's on their agendas but nothing is being done at their meetings concerning this major issue. The first responders should have immediate signatures on this bill. When they showed up immediately to volunteer, they didn't wait for a bill to be signed. Please sign.
