A Brett Kavanaugh confirmation should also trigger mass protests
MoveOn is planning mass demonstrations in the event that Trump fires Rod Rosenstein or Bob Mueller, but there is no equivalent contingency plan if Kavanagh is confirmed to the Supreme Court. This means that one issue can be used to distract us from the other. If MoveOn says that either action will trigger mass protests, it signals that both issues are equally important.
Why is this important?
A friend of mine pointed out that everyone was ready to take to the streets over Rosenstein, but there was no comparable response to Kavanaugh. It looked like an example of patriarchal priorities and I thought this would be a way to fix that.
