A case of justice denied
Free Robert Howe
Do we always need to wait until an unjust death occurs? Robert (Bobby) needs a loud voice to be heard, one that stands for justice. Moreover, in the name of journalistic integrity, the true story of what occurred that last September (miss reported at the time) needs to be told. Further, the good people of the City and the nation need to see that justice can indeed be done. In the current environment, why not take this on.
What if it was your son, or your brother, or perhaps your Dad or favored uncle or cousin, simply and quietly eating breakfast before reporting to work? Would you be outraged to see that the law indicates that although each of your family members were threatened with bodily harm and illegally restrained, that they had to wait to be attacked before taking any action to defend themselves? What if any one of them had undergone open heart surgery so that their ribs were held together by metal rings leading them to fear that the threatened attack had the real potential to end their life? Could they then be justified in taking proactive measures to defend their lives? What would you think about holding Robert Howe, who fits the above, some nine month now because in fear of his life he took steps to defend himself against the threats of four drug addicts (4 against 1) and has become a pawn to be used by an ADA interested solely in getting an indictment, let justice fall where it may? All the necessary documentation, including a video, can be made available.
Raised in East Harlem and from a broken home, Robert (Bobby) has a past but some 30 years ago. He overcame his early beginnings, is now 56 years of age, has been married 26 years, is a father and grandfather, an A plus certified IT technician and had just started a new job as a journeyman locksmith after some 5 years unemployed due to the downturn in IT. His condition requires that he take several medications to maintain his life and yet the prison system, on more than one occasion, has denied him these lifesaving prescribed medications. Much has been made of the fact that Bobby injured his attacker during the attack on Bobby but no concern at all has been expressed for the injuries inflicted upon Bobby by his attackers.
Respectfully,
Roy T. Howe ([email protected])
