A Law to Prevent Unlimited Campaign Financing

WHEREAS, Americans citizens no longer have the ability to affect the outcome of political campaigns or to stop negative campaign advertisements when extremely wealthy individuals, corporations, and special interest groups can donate unlimited amounts to PACs;
WHEREAS, unlimited donations pose a clear and immediate threat to our democracy and promote corruption by elected officials; and
WHEREAS, American citizens want to preserve our democratic republic without the threat posed by unlimited campaign donations and without the taint of corruption that comes from elected representatives using the power of their office to benefit their contributors;
NOW THEREFORE, a provision for the amendment of the United States Constitution shall be enacted to provide that no person, corporation, nor any other type of organization or entity
of any type whatsoever shall be permitted to donate more that one hundred dollars ($100.00) per calendar year to any candidate for elected office or to any political action committee or any other type of organization or entity which either endorses or opposes a candidate for election to any the position with the federal government. This prohibition shall also apply to donations made to promote or oppose any issue or interest which is supported or opposed by any candidate to such elected office.

Why is this important?

A constitutional amendment to eliminate or limit money for campaign financing. Average Americans have no power to affect the outcome of political campaigns or to stop negative campaign advertisements when super-rich individuals, corporations, and special interest groups can donate unlimited amounts to PACs.
