A short film as a sequel to Miyazaki's 'Spirited Away'
If you choose not to create a sequel to one of your most praised films, why not a short film instead? It may be enough to satisfy the fans, especially since a majority of us want to see Chihiro and (Ko)Haku reunite. The whole talk about Chihiro not recalling her experience in the spirit world at the end seems rather pointless, when the message of the story is supposed to be about how she grew to be an independant young lady, to save her parents' lives (not to mention others). This little follow-up may not be as superior as the first, but at least some effort put into it would be good enough.
Why is this important?
For years, fans (mainly girls) have been wanting a sequel to the Studio Ghibli classic, "Spirited Away" (or, "Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi"). Of course, as many say, sequels often tend to ruin the charm of the original. So, in this case, why not a simple short film?
