Adopt a unicameral legislature with terms limits and eliminate the present self serving retirement provisions for legislators and other elected officials
Why is this important?
Hawaii's legislature should be unicameral. The quality of the laws passed by our present bicameral legislature leaves much to be desired, a single house can do no worse, with minimum of inane posturing and speech making. Also, there should be term limits and elimination of early retirement, by having legislators meet the same requirements of state civil servants.
