A VOICE FOR THOSE WITH NO CHOICE

This petition targets those in favor of protecting undocumented families from being asked about their legal status by law enforcement/police officers.

This petition targets people who consider themselves to be potential targets by being racially profiled by law enforcement/police officers and being asked to confirm and/or verify their legal status.

This petition targets advocates of children who believe will be seriously impacted if their families are targeted.

Why is this important?

SIGN this petition to ask city council of Yakima Washington to protect the people that are vulnerable and that are not able to have a voice or a choice. Lets protect our undocumented families from being profiled by law enforcement/police officers and prevent them from asking people about their legal status. Some of these families have children that are US citizens and we need your signatures to protect them from being separated! By signing this petition you understand that you are asking the city council to approve a sanctuary city/welcoming city that will be discussed upon February7, 2017 at 6:00pm and other city council meetings. Signatures will continue to be collected until there is a resolution to this matter. You are also welcomed to join us at the city council to voice your opinions. Remember that any of us can be asked to verify of our legal status by judging us by the way we look.
