abolish e-log
Abolish elog computers in trucks. Statistically they dont save lives. And only truckers who cant write enjoy them. They dont help move americas frieght they stagnate it. But the worst infringement is on the trucker and his constitutuional right to freedom . Freedom to go use the restroom when a computer says he cant move the truck . Freedom to make his deliveries on time and then make a decent wage. And it goes on and on.
Why is this important?
Ive been driving for 27 years and this electronic device has proven not to work in all areas of my life. It has opposite effect of its intention. Humans cannot sleep when they are not tired or when told by a computer. But then are forced to drive a full 11 hrs to get the job done or risk termination. At times bathroom and food breaks are not possible with this system. It is an outrage. The list of problems is too long to mention.
