Abolish the Electoral College
The time for the Electoral College is over; it was designed for a different age and should now be abolished. The popular vote, the vote of the people, should elect the President as it clearly demonstrates the candidate that the majority of the people of the country choose, and should be the deciding factor of every Presidential election.
After all, we are supposed to be a government of the people by the people and the Electoral College takes that power away from the people. When you cast your vote for President and Vice President, you are not actually voting for the people on the ticket, you’re voting for electors to vote on your behalf and each state has a limited number of electors.
We the people need to pass an amendment to the Constitution to abolish the Electoral College.
