It's time for us (the employers) to keep better tabs on our employees (elected officials). I propose that members of Congress be paid BY THE HOUR of actual work. They must be in session, in committee meetings, or doing FREE town halls in their district to receive ANY salary from us. Campaigning and fundraising does NOT count as work!
Why is this important?
Are you getting tired of Congress hardly ever being in session? It seems we are basically paying them to campaign or go to party seminars. I suggest that we start paying Congress BY THE HOUR!! They must be in session or committee hearings to collect any wage. Paying them minimum wage might be a good way to open their eyes to the plight of their constituents.
