The United States has waited 145 years for Metrication!

The metric system is an international decimalized system of measurement. France was first to adopt it in 1799 and it is now the official system of measurement used in every country in the world but Burma, Liberia and the United States.

The United States is the only industrialized country that is still yet to adopt the International System of Units as its official system of measurement, although it has been sanctioned in the United States for use there since 1866.

Thanks to Thomas Jefferson the only thing metric in the United States is our monetary system!
