One in six adults read at elementary school levels. 1 out of 7 adults in Georgia who are unemployed have not completed high school. Over 60% of jobs to be created in Georgia by 2020 will require some form of college education. Adults with low literacy need our support as they work toward strengthening their family’s economic and educational goals.

Why is this important?

September is Adult Literacy Month. Adults are a child's first teacher. If an adult struggles with reading, children and families suffer. Let's work together to break this cycle! Literacy matters!!
